Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway has been asked to drop 16 pounds within a month for her role as Fantine in the "Les Misérables.

The Daily Mirror reports that Hathaway is consuming just 500 calories a day in fruit and protein shakes, in order to slim down for a death scene in the Tom Hooper film which start filming this month in England.

"Anne is playing a poor factory worker [and] lady of the night. unluckily, she only has 15 to 20 days to lose as much weight as likely – up to [16 pounds] – because she’s been filming the scenes showing her fit and healthy, almost somewhat chubby," a source tells the paper. "It’s not ideal but, as with any high-budget movie, there are severe time constraints." Because it is a lot to drop, Hathaway is consuming very little.

"She is exactly eating nothing more than a couple of apples a day, and some protein – mainly in the form of a shake," the source alleges. "Anne knows the risk of such an tremendous diet and will undergo weekly medicals to make sure everything is still performance as it should do."

If these reports are true, it isn't the primary time Hathaway has dieted for a role. Previous August, Hathaway told Chelsea Handler that she was stressed to fit into Catwoman's suit for her role in "The Dark Knight Rises."

Jennifer Lawrence Goes Vegas Showgirl For 'Interview Germany'

In case you've been hibernating or took a concise sojourn to a far-away planet, The Hunger Games opened this weekend to worldwide pandemonium. (PANEM-onium? Heh.) It attractive much dominated all discussion over the course of three days (as well as social media feeds, #srsly), and, as predicted, Jennifer Lawrence has been catapulted to mega-stardom for her sweltering depiction of guide character Katniss Everdeen. Not only did she make the rounds of almost each talk show last week (even telling David Letterman that she was "a troll"), the fash-media tracked her every style move containing that to-die gold Prabal Gurung dress she wore to the opening. Well, now there's even more frenzy-making J-Law action to discuss concerning her Vegas showgirl leotard instant on the cover of Interview Germany.

Wearing a decorated bodysuit by Dolce & Gabbana, Miss Lawrence vamps it up with windblown hair, unbiased lips, and a black star beneath one of her powerfully misty eyes. But WHOA this bodysuit (leotard? acrobatic costume?) is very showgirl to us, and not in a bad way because it's quite self-effacingly cut in a 1950's swimsuit kind of way. Though it pushes her bazoombage up to near edit levels, it's stimulating to see a gal look so strong on a mag cover. And even though we can't read the real interview which was taken by Drew Barrymore, we're frantic to know more about what the two discussed. According to good ol' Google translate; it involves Bridget Jones, Hulk Hogan, and a "pool full of pasta." Does anyone speak German.
