Jennifer Love Hewitt Bares (Almost) All for Lifetime's 'The Client List'

"I believe that it’s sexier not to show all. I think that people’s imaginations can do way more." That's Jennifer Love Hewitt, talking about her challenging current Lifetime drama, "The Client List." Well, somebody should've told the marketing department that, because the ads for the show -- you know, the ones that show Hewitt lounging around in a meager bra and panties -- seem to show just about all. So how much is too much?

The show does air on essential cable, after all, so Hewitt won't have to show everything -- and she says she wouldn't have taken the role if she had to. "I wouldn’t have done nudity, no. That’s not something that I feel mainly happy with." But even keeping (some of) her clothes on, Hewitt still experienced some first-day jitters. "It was a little intimidating the first day, for sure," she says of shooting scenes at the notorious day spa where her character, struggling Texas mom Riley Parks, turns to prostitution to help support her family. "Even though we’re actors, the guys are strangers to me at the time. I’m sort of there in lingerie and everything, so it does take a couple of takes to sort of feel relaxed with it."

"List," you may keep in mind, started out as a TV movie that aired back in 2010, and the knowledge left Hewitt and the rest of the cast wanting more. "We had sort of joked around when we were doing the movie about how fun it would be to sort of turn this into a series and actually get in deeper with the lives of the women in the spa." And indeed, the series is less about what Hewitt coyly refers to as the "happy endings part" and more of a workplace dramedy about a tight-knit group of women who happen to perform sure acts behind closed doors.

This isn't Hewitt's first time at the TV rodeo, of course. She began out as Bailey's girlfriend Sarah on Fox's '90s drama "Party of Five" and is fresh off a five-season run as medium Melinda Gordon on CBS's "Ghost Whisperer." And being from Texas herself, the role of Riley feels akin to something of a homecoming. "I’ve gotten to go back to my original accent, which has been actually fun for me," she explains. "But it’s hard to drop currently sometimes when I go home. So I talk stupid, and my friends are like, 'What are you doing?'"

DeAndre Brackensick shown the door on "American Idol"

DeAndre Brackensick, a curly-haired competitor adored by judge Jennifer Lopez, on Thursday became the third challenger booted from "American Idol," leaving seven of the original 10 finalists residual on the top-rated TV singing contest.

Brackensick received a hug from Lopez previous to exiting the stage. The pop superstar exposed she had voted to use the "save" chosen to the judges, but fellow panelists Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler had not decided with her.

The "save" allows a judge to overrule viewers votes and stay a singer on the show. It will expire when the program narrow to five final contestants later this season.
Brackensick was let go after his performance of "I Like It" by 1980s relatives singers DeBarge left audiences and judges wanting on Wednesday's singing episode. Contestant adviser Jimmy Iovine criticized the effort as the most horrible among the show's male performers and said Brackensick "needs to come out and produce at a much faster pace."

This week on "Idol," audiences judged contestants based on their treatment of songs from the 1980s, which they sang on Wednesday. The performances also landed Hollie Cavanagh and Elise Testone between the bottom three with Cavanagh's version of "What a Feeling" and Testone's "I Want To Know What Love Is"

Highlights of Thursday's episode contained a visit from Season 5 challenger Kelly Pickler, who sang "Where's Tammy Wynnette," as well as boy band The Wanted, which performed "Glad You Came."

"Idol" first aired on Fox in 2002, and has launched the careers of singers Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert and Jennifer Hudson, between others. Currently in its 11th season, the show continues to be the most watched reality TV show in America, however it has received rigid competition from "The Voice" current year.

Audiences vote for their favorite performers by phone and text message every week as contestants are challenged by a diversity of musical styles. The winning competitor receives a recording contract. This season's winner will be decided in May.

Fiance Hilaria Thomas

Alec Baldwin got engaged to 28-year-old yoga teacher Hilaria Thomas over the weekend, a happy declaration that should have the “30 Rock” actor placidly basking in the burn of their love and not sending out tremendously heated tweets, right?

Not quite. News of the engagement brought surplus attention to his fiance’s yoga class, most important Baldwin to heatedly call out two New York Daily News staff members via Twitter.

He then sent out separate tweets naming photographer Enid Alvarez and crime journalist Simone Weichselbaum*.

Here is the resulting Daily News article, which features two photos of Thomas wearing her big engagement ring while at her yoga class. Alvarez is credited with taking those photos; Weichselbaum’s name is not listed anywhere on the article is listed at the base of the article as a contributor.

Baldwin’s censure of the Daily News continued. He tweeted, “Shame on the no- talent garbage from the Daily News for invading the privacy of 75 people in a yoga class to take a picture of someone” and “Rest in Peace, the New York Daily News, which was once a superior newspaper. Currently run by the same trash that runs the” New York Post.

He then twisted his notice away from Alvarez and Weichselbaum to discuss his revulsion for Rupert Murdoch and News Corp.

This is not the first time Baldwin has used Twitter to protect his lady love. He led a campaign against a Twitter user who was irritating Thomas and got the person to delete the account. Something tells me that Baldwin’s recent tweets will not cause the New York Daily News to shutter.

Jennifer Lopez vs. Brooklyn Decker — Fashion Faceoff

Neon is the ideal tendency for having a gal noticed on the red carpet, and Michael Kors' long-sleeve hot pink gown surely fits the bill! But who would have guessed that two of Hollywood's hottest bodies would decide the exact same so-bright-you've-gotta-wear-shades garment just 10 months apart? You know what that means: It's time for us to make a decision ... who wore it best?
Jennifer, 42, rocked the dress during "American Idol" in L.A. on March 22. Always one to mound on the jewelry, the "AI" judge added a black Hermes cuff, hoop earrings, black Gucci platform sandals, and a sleek ponytail.

Brooklyn, 24, sported the look at the Met Gala in NYC way back on May 2, 2011. The model-turned-actress let her gown do all the talking, and ended off her look with a silver grasp and nude strappy heels also by Kors.

According to me we can every one agree that Lopez is hot in almost anything! Here, the "On the Floor" singer's gown shows off her slim physique (although the fabric does gather a little at the waist) and it actually respects her dark hair and complexion. Not so fast, though, J.Lo! The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover model of 2010 was also dramatic in the design that hugged her curves in all the right places. She even has an advantage over her rivalry, because she opted for negligible accessories and simple hair and makeup to go with her attention-grabbing dress. For that cause, I state Brooklyn the winner! Do you agree?

Katy Perry

Never one to shy away from creation a fashion statement, Katy Perry showed off a some inches of her midriff in a neon green ensemble with corresponding peep toe heels on the orange carpet at the Kids' Choice Awards in LA on Saturday. On closer test, the 27-year-old singer's sports bra-like top looks like it's drenched with slime. Currenrly, that's one way to keep away from receiving slimed! Paired with her purple and blue ponytail and bubblegum lips, the pop star pulls off the fun, assorted look to excellence.

Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway has been asked to drop 16 pounds within a month for her role as Fantine in the "Les Misérables.

The Daily Mirror reports that Hathaway is consuming just 500 calories a day in fruit and protein shakes, in order to slim down for a death scene in the Tom Hooper film which start filming this month in England.

"Anne is playing a poor factory worker [and] lady of the night. unluckily, she only has 15 to 20 days to lose as much weight as likely – up to [16 pounds] – because she’s been filming the scenes showing her fit and healthy, almost somewhat chubby," a source tells the paper. "It’s not ideal but, as with any high-budget movie, there are severe time constraints." Because it is a lot to drop, Hathaway is consuming very little.

"She is exactly eating nothing more than a couple of apples a day, and some protein – mainly in the form of a shake," the source alleges. "Anne knows the risk of such an tremendous diet and will undergo weekly medicals to make sure everything is still performance as it should do."

If these reports are true, it isn't the primary time Hathaway has dieted for a role. Previous August, Hathaway told Chelsea Handler that she was stressed to fit into Catwoman's suit for her role in "The Dark Knight Rises."

Sarah Tressler

A traditional Houston newspaper is at the centre of scandal after it was exposed one of its reporters has been working overtime - as a stripper. Sarah Tressler, 29, started writing for the Houston Chronicle's society pages last April. But her double life has actually brought some surplus attention for the media outlet after a competitor newspaper brought her story to light.

Richard Connelly, reporting for the Houston Press, humiliated Miss Tressler and her colleagues at the Chronicle with an depiction about the brunette's thinly-veiled late-night life as an foreign dancer. As Connelly reports, Miss Tressler keeps a Facebook, Twitter report and blog using the alias 'Angry Stripper'. Photos of the dancer affectation provocatively in lingerie and six-inch heels are dotted between her social networks, which have been locked since the story gained attention. A explanation on her Facebook fan page is frank and forward.

I strip for crazy people and then pass comment about it so we can laugh at them TOGETHER. That's love, people,' she writes, noting interests containing 'Brass poles, tiny muscles, money, and the completely civil chat of your choosing.'According to Miss Tressler's LinkedIn outline, she has a bachelor's degree from the University of Houston, where she works as an addition professor.

She did a master's degree in journalism from New York University, and has joined as a temporary reporter for publications containing: Us Weekly, L.A. City Beat and GLOSS Magazine.

That might come as a revelation to those who read her blog, 'Diary of an Angry Stripper'.
Musings about the writer's daily dalliances, customers' annoying requests, fetishes and late-night hook-ups with minimum one familiar name - actor Jeremy Piven - earn column inches on the quippy site.

Jennifer Lawrence Goes Vegas Showgirl For 'Interview Germany'

In case you've been hibernating or took a concise sojourn to a far-away planet, The Hunger Games opened this weekend to worldwide pandemonium. (PANEM-onium? Heh.) It attractive much dominated all discussion over the course of three days (as well as social media feeds, #srsly), and, as predicted, Jennifer Lawrence has been catapulted to mega-stardom for her sweltering depiction of guide character Katniss Everdeen. Not only did she make the rounds of almost each talk show last week (even telling David Letterman that she was "a troll"), the fash-media tracked her every style move containing that to-die gold Prabal Gurung dress she wore to the opening. Well, now there's even more frenzy-making J-Law action to discuss concerning her Vegas showgirl leotard instant on the cover of Interview Germany.

Wearing a decorated bodysuit by Dolce & Gabbana, Miss Lawrence vamps it up with windblown hair, unbiased lips, and a black star beneath one of her powerfully misty eyes. But WHOA this bodysuit (leotard? acrobatic costume?) is very showgirl to us, and not in a bad way because it's quite self-effacingly cut in a 1950's swimsuit kind of way. Though it pushes her bazoombage up to near edit levels, it's stimulating to see a gal look so strong on a mag cover. And even though we can't read the real interview which was taken by Drew Barrymore, we're frantic to know more about what the two discussed. According to good ol' Google translate; it involves Bridget Jones, Hulk Hogan, and a "pool full of pasta." Does anyone speak German.

Madonna's 'Mdna' Gets Cautious Praise From Critics

Madonna has received cautious admire from critics for her latest album Mdna, which hits shelves on Monday (March 19, 2012). Madonna, 53, has attempted to stay up with the likes of Lady Gaga in terms of "shock factor" in current years, and mainly critics were expecting the current record to be a little too try-hard.

Her new records, American Life (2003), Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005) and the general Hard Candy (2008) were all criticize in spite of big sales, though critics come into view to be giving Madonna an easier ride with Mdna. Bbc Music assessed the album in terms of the singer's last efforts, saying, "It's got its faults, but Mdna isn't just a good pop album, it's a good Madonna album too", while The self-governing offered, "Mdna represents a determined, no-nonsense summary of the Madonna brand". The UK's Guardian were a little more unwilling to heap superlatives on the actual music, saying, "Mdna turns out to be just another Madonna album. It's previously had the major single-day pre-order in iTunes history: business as customary for the most extraordinary business enterprise in pop".

After two years away to work on her movie W.E, Madonna once again hit the headlines with a half-time show at the Super Bowl earlier this year, though her presentation was overshadowed by the clowning around of Mia. The singer signed a reported $120 million contract with Live Nation in 2007.

Dancing with the Stars’ Season 14 Premiere Has Good Dancing, Bad Ratings

"Dancing With the Stars" head judge Len Goodman called the Season 14 kickoff of the ABC show its "best premiere ever," but the contest's premiere ratings were its most horrible, down a enormous 34% from previous spring.

The show has been around a while and may look decayed compared to the NBC hit "The Voice," which shares the timeslot. Even though "DWTS" won in total number of viewers, it lost a key demographic to "The Voice," 18- to 49-year-olds.

What went wrong? by accident, it might be a cast that gets along and dances fine but provides no tabloid drama.

As activity Weekly put it, "The clandestine to casting 'Dancing' is having hot-button names like Bristol Palin, The circumstances, Nancy Grace, and Chaz Bono: celebrities that a big number of Americans have strong feelings about, positive or negative."

The Washington Post TV Column additional that the show looks to be the least contentious season ever -- "no realism stars, no political figures." And for reality television, that's not a good thing.

This season boasts a cast of insipid names (Gladys Knight? Jaleel "Steve Urkel" White? Jack Wagner?) along with complete not known like Katherine Jenkins, an opera star from the U.K. On the other hand, those who tune in to the show to see -- gasp -- actual dancing will be pleasantly surprised.

In fact, the cast got the highest scores from the judges of any "DWTS" premiere. "I think this is my favorite premiere, start to finish, that we've ever done," gush the show's host, Tom Bergeron. Celebrity Circuit from CBS agreed, calling the show "a current season with no bad dancers."
